Successful Family Chores
April 30, 2008
You are going to love Wednesdays! This is where I will put all of my hard research work to good use as I review and list helpful websites and articles for all the single moms visiting this site to check out. You can be sure to come here and find a lot of useful websites with information about being a good single mom, time management, chores, organization, mom time, and much more. If you happen to come across a website that you absolutely love, feel free to let me know by e-mailing me at website-wonders@ssmommy.com. I will certainly review this site and add a link to it so other single moms can benefit from it as well.
In the spotlight this week is the Successful Family Chores website. This site is loaded with a variety of chore charts; they have an excellent variety for you to download for free. Some of the charts they have on their site include a blank chore chart to get you started, a toddler chore chart, and a teen chore chart. They also have some unique chore charts such as a meal planner chore chart, personal care chore chart, and even a money chore chart.
With the limited amount of time that single moms have, this is sure to be an awesome resource that you can use again and again.

Welcome to the S.S. Mommy (Surviving as a Single Mommy)!
Sometimes when you’re a single mom it can feel like you are alone on an ocean of unchartered waters. Despite the fact that there are more single parents than there has ever been in history the feeling of being alone and having no one around that understands the struggles you are going through can be overwhelming. The S.S. Mommy blog is here to help! It is my goal to help guide you through the rough waters you are facing as a single mom and help give you an anchor to batten down the hatches when storms threaten to overwhelm you.
If you want to know more about who I am and why I’m a single mom here on this journey with you please feel free to read my About page. My journey began in 2004 and let me tell you — there were times when I felt sure that I was going to drown!
Since the S.S. Mommy is setting sail with it’s first post today I thought I’d share with you someone else who is just setting sail:

That’s my “baby” Benjamin setting off for the first time without his training wheels; gee it sure didn’t take long for him to turn his back on momma and ride away!
How did you feel the first time your little one took off on his/her own without training wheels?
